ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Janet M. Diggs is a devoted daughter, mother, and storyteller whose life has been shaped by three generations of caregiving. She wrote Harper and Grandma’s Big Girl Adventures while caring for her 92-year-old mother, Sarah Diggs — a journey filled with love, patience, and rediscovery. As she helped her mother relearn everyday tasks, Janet was reminded of the gentle strength Sarah once used to raise her own daughter.

Now, with her daughter Sydney by her side, Janet continues to embrace the beauty of intergenerational care. Her writing celebrates the magical bond between children and elders, even in the face of memory loss.

This book is the first in a heartfelt series that shows how children can become loving helpers, and how dementia doesn’t erase joy, connection, or adventure. Through Harper and Grandma’s stories, Janet invites families to see caregiving not as a burden — but as a chance to grow closer, laugh louder, and love deeper.
